As an alternative, you should contact Kevin and get a login to the opensource web brewing software we have on our site.

Permalink Reply by Andrew Bauman on August 30, 2011 at 11:44pm I use BeerSmith. The new version is way better than the old and with a few add-ons I havent' noticed anything it doesn't do.
I know a lot of people use ProMash as well.
I tried the ASH software and it was also pretty good, but I forgot my log-in so went back to BeerSmith.

Permalink Reply by Sam Paterson on September 2, 2011 at 8:35am I just started all-grain brewing (3rd batch in the fermenter yesterday) and I use Beersmith 2.0. The key to using that software is getting your equipment profile dialed-in. I'm still working on that. Yesterday's brew, my BG was 4 points high, but I was shooting for a 1.065 BG and hit it at 1.063. I probably could have boiled for another 10 min, because I know I had just a little more wort than I needed. Once I get my losses nailed, I think the software will definitely give me some consistency for each and every brew!
Enjoy,
Sam
