I have to go to Philadelphia next month. (Yuck...) What is the best brewery in Philly? I'm gonna need some serious "attitude adjustment".

Why leave Monk's?
Monk's appears to be a place to get Belgiums, which is not my favorite style. (Something to do with the candy sugar, I think...) I found a few breweries. Has anyone heard anything about:
Philadelphia Brewing Company
Victory Brewing
Manayunk Brewery

Victory is a fantastic brewery but it's located ~30 miles west of Center City (in Downingtown). If you have a car the brewery is worth a visit since they have a full bar and restaurant on site.
You might want to check out Iron Hill brewery as well. It's a local chain of brewpubs. They're mostly out in the burbs but downtown may have a location too.
If you can't get out of the city there's also Eulogy Belgian Tavern at the SE corner of 2nd & Chestnut. Lots of Belgians, but over 300 bottles including plenty of local stuff. I always go for anything from Weyerbacher, Stoudts, Troegs, and Victory whenever I'm back in town. Ask the locals where the good watering holes are.
I'm from the Philly burbs for what it's worth.
Don't dispair Dan, there's plenty of beer fun to be had in Philadelphia. I'm a huge fan of Stoudt's in Amish land. It's a little drive but well worth it. You can also find their beers on tap at a lot of Philly bars. Across the river you'll find Flying Fish in Cherry Hill, NJ. Also worth the drive or ride on the train. For bars check out Monk's Cafe for a good Belgium beer selection or Varga Bar for all around fun, beer selection and happy hour promos.
I've got an extensive philly twitter list: twitter.com/girlfromarizona. You'll find links to most of the bars and breweries in the area.
Oh - see Monk's is already on the recommendation list. If you don't like the Belgians, at least go for the wings.
