I found a great recipe for dog treats made from spent grain, my dogs seem to love spent grain as is, but this makes it even tastier and easier to store.

8 cups spent grain
4 cups unbleached flour
2 cups peanut butter
4 eggs

Mix it all together, compress it onto cookie sheets, score it with a butter knife then bake for 30 minutes at 350F. Take it out, break into pre-scored pieces, flip over onto the same cookie sheets and keep at 225F for 1 hour or until dried out. Alternatively you could use a food dehydrator. You want to get the moisture out completely as there's no preservatives.

I put the mix into a food processor to make it a little more homogeneous before spreading onto cookie sheets but this wasn't necessary.

Alternatively you can just refrigerate the grain, and add it to their food bowls with regular dog food.

Been making these for awhile. They come out a lot like they go in so be easy on how many you give your dogs, these will...clean them out.
Finally did this with my last batch.

The dogs are happy campers indeed, but we have also noticed that the stink factor of their farts has gone up. Not surprising because of the fiber overload, but damn. My eyes were waterin' and my nose was pissed for minutes after!
Very strange, my dogs (huskies) have never been gassy or had "consistency" issues with these treats and I give them at least one a day, a good 2" x 2" piece, usually more. Also, last couple batches I've been skipping the food processor step. I just put on some rubber gloves and mix it all up with my hands.

There is no "consistency" issue, just increased gassyness.
