Arizona Society of Homebrewers

Welder for club members to use. Just Putting it out there.

I just want to put it out there...  I have a mig and a bit of ability to use it.  If anyone is interested in using it please let me know.

I have been slowly working on my brew stand and not everyone has the access so I just wanted to put it out there for use to club members..

If you have a project that you can use it, please let me know.

Let me put it out there that I can also offer welding services, but not use of my welder. I am not looking for big projects (8 - 16 hours at most) and I would appreciate any sweat equity that folks would like to put in helping in the areas of measure/cut, drilling, grinding, fitting up (basically everything up to the point of welding). My hourly rate is flexible and decreases as # of hours increases (quantity discount).

I have:

A gas shielded MIG welder (110v, welding up to 1/4" thick)

A plasma cutter (think hot knife through butter, but instead of butter, metal)

A big drill press (6' floor model)

Metal chop saw

4.5" angle grinders

A tubing bender set up for 1" or 1-5/8" tubing (can do other sizes or square by purchasing additional dies, which run $180 and up, you'd have to foot 50% of die cost).

I weld mild steel/cromoly. No aluminum, no stainless. I weld in my garage/driveway (not mobile).

Would you be able to cut 12" holes in the tops of 2 kegs with the plasma cutter? Thanks.

Tom, I have a motorcycle gas tank that has a pin hole leak in a weld on the under side. Is this something you could weld for me? I have the tank removed. Let me know. Thanks. 4803351688.
