Membership Benefits

We're often asked what the benefits of membership are (Join ASH here). First and foremost it give you access to the combined wisdom of hundreds of brewers in your area. We meet on the third Tuesday of most months and during that meeting it's possible for you to solicit the opinions of BJCP certified judges, a few of which are Nationally recognized.

Additionally it's not uncommon for there to be up to 70 different beers to sample and exchange tasting notes.

We also feature premier events such as Spring Fest and Oktoberfest as well as our Holiday party. Each of these events feature free food and beer. You'd easily pay $75-$150 for that type of VIP treatment at any beer festival in the country. It's yours for your $35 annual fee.

Your dues go toward securing a meeting place for a few hundred of your best brewing pals to get together and talk beer. It goes toward a General Liability Policy, this website, our interactive email. It pays for our membership in the Arizona Craft Brewer's Guild and the many resources it offers.

If you've been a member for any length of time, you know that it's more than just the sum of all of this (and the discounts below). It's a feeling of being part of an Army of brewers and beer appreciators that have a real influence on beer culture in the Phoenix Metro Area. It's about the mission:

To preserve and promote the time-honored tradition of homebrewing, and to recognize it as a true art form through information, education, and dedicated practice.

Discount Program

Finally there is the discount program that was made possible by the combined contributions of Ninkasi Sponsor- Four Peaks and Card Sponsor- World Class Beverages.

 

Each of the discounts is subject to change. We'll do our best to keep this updated and alert you to any changes or additions. In most cases, the discounts apply to the ASH member only, but consult your server first. This is a new program and there will be a learning curve for all of us.

Home Brew Store Discounts and Kickbacks

The historical anchor of the discount programs has always been the local hombrew supply stores. Some offer discounts to you, while others offer a kickback to the club.

    10% of your purchase is returned to the club. 15% discount for anyone participating in a brewout at Brewers Connection. This program has been an increasingly important windfall for the club. So far Brewers Connection has donated the following amount to ASH and we thank them for their generosity:
