Current Beers

So, We have done our 1st and 2nd all grain beers! The smell is great and the effort seems to be worth while. We started with a basic ale that I am not excited baout, but at least people will easilly drink. The second is our Randy Reindeer that has expected outcome of 11-12% alcohol and hopefully the mistaken 16% we did last time. I changed the spices to be less clove and hope this will be smooth by the x-mas party to share. My Belgium golden strong is going well, or at least limping along. We…See More

Thinking Therminator? Well, we tried the Therminator for the last 2 brews and it was a time saver - the only problem was creating a vacuum without sucking on the tube - we had to suck the tube to get the wort to get moving. I think it is a lot of set-up and clean-up but with a brew buddy all the work is really minimal anyways, so it is worth the additional time/effort. Overall our beer went from brew pot (boil at 212) to pitching (70 degrees or less - usually less) in only a few minutes (under 10). So if you are inpatient but like gadgets - get one or win one (like we did - Thanks ASH!)
