April General Membership Meeting at ASH Clubhouse (Rose Market Storefront)

April 17, 2012 from 7pm to 9pm
Save the date for the April general membership meeting. More details soon. We'll need someone to bring about 2-3 gallons of beer to share for the Calibration Brew. A tip from Tom: bring notes about your beer, cause once you stare in to the crowd, you may forget almost everything about your beer. It's more fun if you can answer questions about your beer.Scott Brady, the 2011 ASH Oktoberfest Competition Best in Show winner, will be the featured guest. 2012 ASH Springfest at Tempe Kiwanis Park, Ruben Romero Corporate Ramada

March 24, 2012 from 12pm to 5pm
Are you ready for the second biggest ASH picnic of the year? Get your homebrew ready, because Springfest is just around the corner. Once again, the venue will be the Romero ramada area at Kiwanis Park. Saturday March 24th is the date and we’ll be kicking off the festivities at noon. This year we’ll be doing a potluck thing, sort of a “by the club, for the club” event,. I just need to figure out a way to make sure we don’t end up with 100 bags of Doritos, so there will be more info on that…See More

Keevin,

The GF IPA is good but I didn't get to my anticipated FG and the "continuous" hopping was a little unnecessary. It is a little more bitter than I was expecting and it came out a little undercarbed. That being said, better than most "commercial" GF brews. If I'm in town for this month's meeting I'll bring a bottle for you.

I will definitely be at Oktoberfest my man. I am actually about to start brewing my first batch of Pale Ale this weekend, so that should be an interesting challenge. I live on 24th St. and Camelback, so if that is close we should definitely hang out at Sun Up or something. When is the next Tuesday ASH meeting?

Not really sure... I ended up doing my own pub crawl, as they weren't at Gordon Biersch when the schedule slated them to be, so went to check out Robbie Fox's and then got a bite to eat and hit Four Peaks. So, overall my gf and I had a good time and assume that they were running behind on their schedule. How was San Diego?
