Tom have you already purchased one of these?  I just got an email from them about open box ones that they have for sale for $69 with a limit of 3.

Obviously, if you are using a carboy you probably want to cover it with a dark t-shirt, garbage bag, etc. I'm not sure if incandescent lights give off much UV light but probably shouldn't risk it...

In a fridge. Johnson A419 temp sensor is in the freezer portion as it's used for serving temp. I have the bottom controlled by blocking some vents. I'll throw a lamp in there, see what happens, might need to re-locate temp sensor. Thx.

Are you just keeping it in the bathtub or do you normally ferment in some kind of fridge with a temp controller? In the past when I've needed to heat I've just put a lamp in the fridge and use the heat cycle on my controller.

Seeking used truck tires

Looking for a set of 265/70-16 truck tires for my Toyota. Can't afford new ones at this point. Just had an end of life flat and now running on a spare. Will take anything but ideally looking for a set of steel 6 bolt Toyota rims with decent tires that I can just bolt right on and run em til I can have new tires put on my alloy wheels. Any Toyota modders out there upgrade to a new wheelset and have their old set in the garage?See More

Thanks for the link to the competitions. I brewed up a Belgian Blonde last weekend to age on oak and brett for the one in August. Do you think I’ll have an issue entering spiced/oaked/funked beers into events?
