Arizona Society of Homebrewers

We made the place as cool and dark as a tomb and kicked off June 2.0 with a slide show and some videos from the NHC in San Diego. Hilarity ensued.

Some facts:

  • Some 30ish ASHers attended bringing 38 kegs garnering us 3rd or 4th runner up at Club night.
  • AZ clubs made a great showing with ~ 85 kegs between THC, BA and ASH
  • 900 kegs at Clubnight
  • ASH is the largest club in the nation!
  • ASH could win Club of the Year in 2012 if it doubled or tripled the number of entries , strategically encouraged brewers to use their award winning recipes and made bigger efforts at the Club only Comps.

Kevin Masaryk presented new information about BJCP changes that will shorten the certification process and create a tighter feedback loop. I encourage those interested in reviving the training program to discuss this now on the forums and the club will offer up the clubhouse and perhaps kick in with some beer. We just need this club member to step up... Do you know this guy???
